LYYN™ and APAC Security signs Asia/Pacific distribution agreement

LYYN™ and APAC Security has signed an Agreement for distribution of LYYN’s products in Asia/Pacific. The agreement specifically targets the market segment for security but also Sub Sea which among all includes commercial diving. With this partnership LYYN™ will be able to access the market via APAC’s existing sales channels.

“We released our first product, LYYN T38, in November last year. This has been well received by the market, especially within the submarine and security technology areas. Since then we have recruited over 20 resellers throughout the world, and several more are in the queue. To be able to support our markets in the best possible way LYYN™ will appoint regional distribution partners globally. We are extremely pleased to join forces with APAC to support the Asia/Pacific markets.“ says LYYN’s President Andreas Ekengren.

“I am very exited since LYYN’s products match our existing portfolio of security products” declares APAC’s MD Carl Lundberg. “In addition I enjoy working with entrepreneurs like the LYYN™ management. Andreas’ and his team’s ambitious targets suits us very well – we are committed to make this partnership successful”

Taking vision interpretation a step further

U.S. Special Forces may soon have a strange and powerful new weapon in their arsenal: a pair of high-tech binoculars 10 times more powerful than anything available today, augmented by an alerting system that literally taps the wearer's prefrontal cortex to warn of furtive threats detected by the soldier's subconscious.

In a new effort dubbed "Luke's Binoculars" -- after the high-tech binoculars Luke Skywalker uses in Star Wars -- the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is setting out to create its own version of this science-fiction hardware. And while the Pentagon's R&D arm often focuses on technologies 20 years out, this new effort is dramatically different -- Darpa says it expects to have prototypes in the hands of soldiers in three years.
