LYYN™ reorganizes management team for market expansion

Bengt Sahlberg has been appointed President and CEO for LYYN AB as of April 2, 2008.

Andreas Ekengren will focus on New Business Development, developing our next segments and Bengt will continue to run the Sub Sea segment.

The company is now entering the market expansion phase and needs to reallocate the management resources for this important step. This week LYYN™ has shipped the first units of the new HAWK platform to be integrated in end customer solutions. The first HAWK customers are in the Sub Sea segment but this new product will also be targeted towards other business segments. This management change will release resources to develop these other markets.

Bengt has for many years worked with international management and sales for both large and small Swedish companies, stationed abroad as well as in Sweden.

“LYYN™ is in a very interesting stage. The founders have done a tremendous job in developing LYYN, and now it is time to take the next step. LYYN™ is rapidly becoming a well known player in the international Sub Sea arena.” says Bengt. “I believe my experience in developing market channels will come in handy. LYYN™ is an exciting company with interesting technology and market opportunities.”

“We are happy to have been able to recruit someone with Bengt’s experience to manage LYYN™ in the next development phase. It has been in the plans all along, that when LYYN™ takes off, we would recruit the best possible management team.” Says Mats Cremon, Chairman of the LYYN™ Board, “And focusing Andreas time on New Business Development is an important strategic decision. We see great growth potential for LYYN™ in e.g. the Homeland Security, Surveillance and Medical Technology industries.”

Trompe-l'œil (French: "trick the eye")

Trompe-l'œil (French: "trick the eye") is an art technique involving extremely realistic imagery in order to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects appear in three-dimensions, instead of actually being a two-dimensional painting.

George Washington was once fooled by a trompe-l'œil painting when he visited the studio of Charles Willson Peale. Upon entering a room containing on its far wall such a painting of someone descending a stair (apparently into the room), he is said to have bowed to the figure before he realized it was a painting.

Are you fooled by this modern version of trompe-l'œil?
It's actually an illusion painted on the street. Click here too see more samples from
the two German "Street Painters" Edgar Müller & Manfred Stader.
