Each video frame is optimized for contrast and color spectrum to make it as “natural” as possible to the human eye. Even the smallest fragments of color and object shape can be extracted from the camera sensor. And all this is done in real-time.
The result is an image that constantly self-adjusts to the environment, and you can focus on mission objectives.
Portable
LYYN Hawk Portable is designed for real portability. It has a solid aluminum casing, large control knobs and runs on 12V DC.
Plug and play
Connect the LYYN Hawk Portable between the camera and a monitor or VCR and you are up and running. No complicated installation. No advanced configuration. No onscreen menu trees. Just plug in, turn on and see more.
Easy to use
Large knobs for control of enhancement level and size and position of a rectangular selection of the scene. With this simple manual interface you can focus on your tasks with the best possible visibility in you video system.
Software remote control
Besides being a manual enhancement tool it is possible to control the LYYN Hawk Portable remotely over a standard RS232 serial interface. A simple standard communications program, like “HyperTerminal” in Windows or “QuickTerm” in Mac OS X, can be used to send ASCII text-based commands. You can also write scripts and software on your own control platform for a more integrated solution.

Regarding your portable unit, does Lyyn manufacture a proprietary camera that this product is to be used with? If not, is it compatible with underwater video units made by Outland Technologies? I can see the result of your products from your website, but I cannot figure out what the equipment actually consists of, and I’m wondering if you sell diver-mounted cameras. Thanks

Hi Andy!
We do not market any specific underwater cameras. Our plug-n-play unit is connected in between and analog underwater camera and the recorder or monitor. This is done top side. Our products works very well with Outland’s analog systems. In fact they are even a partner of LYYN and can offer products with LYYN technology integrated. My recommendation is that you either contact your Outland contact directly for an integrated solution or drop as a mail or phone call and we can directly answer any questions and point you to our closest dealer.
